We connect small independent wineries with Portugal's bars and restaurants, direct, no distributor markup in the middle.
A fixed-fee market entry push in Portugal, plus an optional ordering platform to sell ongoing. Orders and payment stay directly between you and the buyer.
See how it works →A curated catalog of small European producers you will not find through your current distributor, plus a wine list built for you if you'd rather not do it yourself.
See how it works →Full catalog inside the B2B cabinet
We know the Portuguese on-trade first-hand, which lists work, which don't, and why. If that's useful for a panel or a tasting, get in touch.
The big importers chase two things: famous names, or cheap volume. Everything interesting lives in between. That's where we work.
Independent services. Take one, or both. A market-entry winery doesn't have to join the ordering platform, and a platform winery doesn't need a market-entry push if it's already selling in Portugal.
A fixed-fee, 2-3 month push into the Portuguese on-trade: positioning, a curated B2B tasting with bars and restaurants we select, direct contacts of every interested buyer, and optional promotion on our Instagram and this site. One flat fee, no commission, no ongoing retainer. Orders and payment happen directly between you and each buyer, on your usual terms.
A standing listing in our B2B catalog, visible to every registered bar and restaurant in the cabinet. Buyers request orders directly from your listing, sold by the case, with your minimum order size respected. We take a commission per order, invoiced to you separately, not added to the buyer's price. No market-entry push included, this is catalog access and ongoing orders.
No cost to start. Send the wines you'd most want to introduce in Portugal, we taste and confirm fit.
A curated group of Portuguese bars and restaurants tastes your wines in a dedicated B2B session. Every interested buyer's contact goes straight to you. You negotiate and invoice them directly, on your terms.
We promote you: posts on our Instagram and a profile page on this site with your story and photos. Handy as a shareable page if you're a small producer without your own website yet.
We are running founding rates for the first producers to work with us in this format, well below the standard rate of €1,200 - 1,800 per project that applies once the format is established. Ask us for the current rate.
No listing fee and no monthly charge. We take a fixed percentage of each confirmed order and invoice it to you separately. You set your prices, your minimum order and payment terms, you invoice the buyer directly, and ship.
Send us what you make and we come back with the current founding rate and what the project would look like for you.
We reply to every winery, usually within a few days.
Fill in your winery name and email at least.
Order direct from small independent producers in Italy, Spain, France and Portugal, or let us build your list for you.
Register for B2B access, browse our curated producers, place order requests by the case. Prices are wholesale, you invoice directly with the winery, no markup for us baked into your price.
Register →Tell us your food, price points and the number of bottles you need. We build the list mostly from our own network of independent producers, and bring in other sources where it makes sense, priced and ready to pitch to your guests.
Send a request →When Levö opened in Arroios, we put their opening wine list together. A few weeks later we ran a tasting in their space too, announced jointly on Instagram. It's the closest thing we have to a finished example: pick the wines, build the list, make sure people actually show up to drink it.

Once a week we visit a bar and post an honest read of their wine list: what's working, what's missing. No cost, no pitch, just the list as we see it.
Fill in the venue name and address at least.
Nobody sells you a wine list and then asks what is playing over it. So we made a YouTube channel of long background playlists for rooms where people are talking and drinking.
Flat fee: €300, paid up front. That covers one venue and one round of revisions, built mainly from our own network of producers and not limited to it. Usually ready within a week of payment. If you need more than that, a second venue or several rounds of changes, tell us below and we will quote it before you pay anything.
Fill in the venue name and email at least.
We start on the list as soon as the payment clears.
WSET-qualified and still allergic to wine snobbery. Private tastings in Lisbon, led by a host who remembers not knowing the difference between a red and a red. Rufet sometimes makes an appearance.
At Clueless Wines, we're building a space where it's completely okay to be clueless. You'll taste a curated selection of Portuguese wines and learn how to understand them as a customer, regions, grapes, styles, and how to choose a bottle with confidence. Interactive and beginner-friendly, with enough depth for wine lovers who want more context.
We organize tastings for groups of 5 or more, at your location or at our partner venue in Anjos. Book below, or message us directly. Full prepayment reserves your spot and saves us from no-shows.
Request a dateAlongside private bookings we run public tastings and one-off events around Lisbon, ticketed on Eventbrite, so whatever is on sale is always listed there.
See what's onA tasting makes a decent present, and you do not need to know the date. Buy a digital certificate for €70 per person, we send it within a day, and the recipient books whenever they like. Valid for six months.
We work with event planners, teams and community organizers on tailored tastings and wine game nights. Private gathering, team event or celebration, we adapt to your space and your group, from curating the selection to hosting on-site. Tell us what you have in mind.

"If in Lisbon, then get CLUELESS. Alex, the co-owner of Clueless Wines, took us on a journey. Whether you are new to wine or have been doing it since age 5, you need to join Alex for a tasting experience. I have done other wine experiences in dozens of cities, this rates number one."
"Alex is extremely knowledgable and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Great selection of varied wines and yummy cheese and meats to snack on. We learnt a lot about wine and how it's made, it didn't feel like a 'sales pitch', Alex genuinely wanted to teach us and share the wine with us. Would definitely recommend and come back again."
"I booked this last minute and I'm so glad that I did. Alex was so warm and welcoming. This is a great experience for wine lovers of all levels but it's especially great for those of us who love wine but don't fancy ourselves experts. It was a very intimate experience."
Send your group size and preferred date. We confirm availability and send a payment link, once it's paid you're booked.
Card payment through our online checkout.
Yes, and we kindly ask for as much notice as possible. Contact us and we will try to accommodate your request. Within a week of the event we can move your booking to another date, but we cannot cancel it or refund it.
Absolutely. You can book an event whenever suits you. If you don't know the date the recipient would like, contact us by email, messenger or social media and we will send you a digital gift certificate.
We serve a selection of appetizers made from local products. That pairing is part of the point: it lets you taste how the food and the wines play off each other.
Our tastings run long and are set up for adults, so they usually do not suit younger visitors. If you would like to come as a family, book a private tasting and let us know in advance. No alcohol is served to anyone under 18.
Everything you need is provided. Bring a camera if you like taking pictures. Note-taking is encouraged, and we hand out a sheet with all the essentials on it.
Avoid brushing your teeth right before or after the tasting, it affects your ability to taste the wines. Same with strong perfume or cologne, it interferes with the aromas.
Minimum 5 people. This sends a request, not a payment, we confirm the date first, then send a payment link.
Fill in your name, email and guest count (min 5) at least.
€70 per person, paid now. We email you a digital certificate within one business day, the recipient books any date they like, valid for six months.
Fill in who it is for and your email at least.
We send the certificate by email within one business day of payment.
Clueless Wines is a Lisbon wine studio turned B2B outfit: we taste, we curate, and we get small producers in front of the people who actually write the wine lists. Three things, really. Tastings for anyone curious, wine lists for the bars that want one, and a way into Portugal for producers nobody has imported yet.
We are Alex and Nadia. We fell into wine through the Spanish regions, then settled in Lisbon and opened a tasting studio for people who were curious about wine and put off by the way it usually gets explained. A few years of tastings later, the same thing kept coming back at us from the other side of the table: the bars we drank in were pouring from the same short list, because the same few importers supply everyone.
What we go looking for has not changed since. Growers who let the place do the talking: old vines, patient work, a bottle that could not have come from anywhere else. Sometimes that is a natural wine and sometimes it is a family who has been doing the same unfashionable thing since 1958. We are not precious about categories. A wine either tastes of a place or it tastes of a trend, and that is the whole test.
Alex runs the tastings. Nadia runs the platform and everything around it. Rufete is our Portuguese Water Dog, named after one of our favourite grape varieties, which probably tells you the rest. He turns up at tastings, he has opinions about pairings, and the paid consultation on the trade side of this site is named after him.

These terms cover use of the Clueless Wines website by wineries, bars and restaurants (B2B), and individual guests booking tastings or events (B2C). The site is operated by Alex Minakov, Ferreira Durao 62 B, 1350-318 Lisbon, Portugal, tax number 305359738, trading as Clueless Wines. You have to accept these terms to use the services, and you have to be at least 18 to use the site at all. We may amend these terms by posting a revised version here; the revised version applies from the date it is published, and continuing to use the site counts as accepting it.
The market-entry package is a fixed one-time fee for a defined push into the Portuguese on-trade: positioning, a curated B2B tasting, direct buyer contacts, and optional promotion on our Instagram and this site. There is no commission on sales made as a result. Orders and payment for wine happen directly between the winery and each buyer, on the winery's own terms. Clueless Wines is not a party to those sales.
Registered B2B buyers can request orders from participating wineries through the catalog, sold by the case, subject to each winery's minimum order. Submitting a request is not a purchase and does not create a payment obligation. Clueless Wines confirms availability with the winery and relays to the buyer a single written total covering the wine, the delivery cost as quoted by the winery, and any VAT or duty that applies. Delivery is priced by the winery, not by Clueless Wines, and is never included in catalog prices. No order is binding on the buyer until the buyer confirms that total in writing. Once confirmed, the invoice for the wine and its delivery is issued by the winery in the buyer's name and forwarded to the buyer by Clueless Wines, as part of the service and to keep the correspondence in one place. Clueless Wines is not a party to that invoice, does not add anything to it and does not collect payment under it. Clueless Wines separately invoices the winery for its platform fee, and never issues a combined invoice covering both the wine and its own fee. The buyer pays the platform no fee on the purchase.
When the platform fee is payable. The fee is payable on every order the buyer confirms. Keeping availability current is the winery's responsibility: if a wine is out of stock, the winery tells Clueless Wines and the listing is removed from the catalog. Where an order is placed against a listing the winery has left in the catalog and the winery is then unable to supply it, the fee still applies. The fee is also payable where, within 12 months of an introduction made through the platform, the winery supplies that same buyer outside the platform.
Wholesale prices and ordering are only visible to registered B2B accounts. Clueless Wines reviews each registration manually, including the tax ID provided, before granting access. Clueless Wines may decline or revoke access at its discretion.
Ask Rufete sessions and wine list creation are services Clueless Wines provides directly, paid in full at the time of booking. These are separate from the ordering platform and not subject to the winery invoicing rules in Section 3.
Private tastings require a minimum of 5 guests. Full prepayment is required to reserve a date; this is not refundable except as described below. Bookings can be rescheduled on request, and we ask for as much notice as you can give. Within seven days of the tasting a booking may be moved to another date but cannot be cancelled or refunded. To cancel or move a booking, email hello@cluelesswines.com. Time limits for cancellation and refund are in any case those set by the applicable law. One-off public events are ticketed through Eventbrite and subject to Eventbrite's own terms in addition to these.
You must be 18 or older to book or attend a tasting. Clueless Wines may ask for ID.
All prices shown to consumers are in euros and include VAT at the rate in force; any change to the applicable VAT rate is reflected in the price. Prices in the B2B catalog are per bottle, excluding VAT and excluding delivery, and are shown only to verified B2B accounts. Prices for a tasting are not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed. Conversions into other currencies anywhere on the site are indicative only.
Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. Card details are entered on the provider's own form, go to the provider's servers, and are never received or stored by Clueless Wines.
The site, the tasting materials and everything else we produce stay ours. You may not copy, modify, transmit, distribute or otherwise exploit them without our permission. Tasting materials are provided as they are, without warranties beyond those the law does not allow us to exclude. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation or payment to you.
For orders placed through the platform, Clueless Wines facilitates the introduction and the request, it is not the seller of the wine and is not responsible for a winery's fulfillment, quality, or delivery of an order. We are also not liable for a failure to perform these terms where the cause is a third party, the user's own fault, or an event outside our control.
These terms are governed by Portuguese law and proceedings can be brought in the Portuguese courts. A consumer may also, under Law no. 144/2015, take a dispute to the Centro Nacional de Informacao e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo. Complaints can be filed in the national complaints book at livroreclamacoes.pt.
Clueless Wines may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
